Modeling the performance of direct carbon solid oxide fuel cell -anode supported configuration

A mathematical model is developed to study the performance of a direct carbon solid oxide fuel cell system (DC-SOFC). Simulation results indicate that in anode supported configuration, design parameters (porosity, tortuosity and thickness) play very important role DC-SOFC, presented as polarization curve. The effect Ag content electrode found significant DC-SOFC. operating parameters, namely pressure temperature, on overpotentials (concentration, activation ohmic) are studied. concentration profiles gases (CO2 CO) function current density across Model compared with experimental data compare well.
